Susan Knight, an Omaha, Nebraska-based painter and paper artist was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She has exhibited widely on a regional, national and international basis. In Nebraska, she has shown at The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art (Omaha), The Sheldon Art Museum (Lincoln), The Museum of Nebraska Art (Kearney), and Creighton University (Omaha). On a national level, her work has been featured in exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City and Baltimore. She has shown internationally in Poland, China, Ireland and Italy. Public art commissions and projects include Green Light III at The Bank of America Plaza, Charlotte, NC, The O! Project, Omaha, The Lewis & Clark Sculpture Project, Lewis & Clark Landing, Omaha, and A Random Act of Art, Brooklyn, New York.

Among her honors, Knight is a recipient of a 1998 Nebraska Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship. She was an artist-in-residence at Ragdale, Lake Forest, Illinois, in 1997 and 2009 and at the International School of Art, Montecastello di Vibio, Italy in 1999.

In 2004 she traveled to the People's Republic of China to present her art at colleges and universities in Beijing, Xian, and Shanghai with other US artists including Flo Oy Wong and Roger Shimomura. In 2008, she returned to China to present work in Kunming and Chengdu.

Susan studied at The University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, from which she received a BFA in art. She later studied at The Glassell School of Art, Houston, Texas, and The School of the Art Institute, Chicago, Illinois.
